Our team of trustworthy professionals are committed to providing excellent service, so you can trust us to keep an eye on your property and anyone who stays in it while you're away. Whether you need us for a short trip or for an extended stay, we are here to help.
Cleaning & Maid Services
We have a team of professional and well trained maids, most of whom have been working with us for many years. We can offer a good reliable cleaning service whenever it is needed to make sure your property is looking its best.

Full Exit Clean: The majority of properties we look after are cleaned when people leave or, as we say, ‘on exit’. Obviously if more guests are arriving on that same day or a couple of days later then the property is prepared for their arrival; but if the property is to be vacant then it is cleaned and ‘closed down’. On ‘close down’ the water and electricity are turned off (if possible) and terrace furniture is brought inside. Following an ‘exit clean’ when the next guests arrive the apartment is opened, prepared for occupancy, freshened inside and the terrace cleaned. The benefit of cleaning ‘on exit’ is that the apartment is always ready for new guests no matter how short notice the booking is.
Full Entry Clean: If your property does not have many visitors it may be better to clean it just before people come to stay. If we carry out ‘entry cleans’ in your property our maids will make a quick visit when people vacate in order to close it down, dispose of any perishable rubbish and, if applicable, collect the dirty laundry. The price to close down a property is 9.99€
The price of a full clean either on ‘Exit’ or on ‘Entry’ depends on the size of the property. As a guide the price of a full clean for an average size one bedroom apartment is approximately 59€ and for an average size two bedroom apartment it is approximately 69€. We are happy to pay you a visit to estimate a price and go through our services with you.

Linen and Towel Change: If guests are staying for longer than 10 days we suggest that the linen and towels are changed at least weekly. At this time our maids make the beds with clean linen, leave clean towels, carry out a cursory clean just to make sure the floors and bathrooms are kept clean and take away the used linen and towels for laundering. The maid service price of this mid term linen and towel change is 19.98€.
Cleaning & Service Materials:
Our maids bring their own cleaning materials. On every full clean they leave a pack of ‘servicing materials’ for incoming guests. This contains two toilet rolls, bin liner, a spounge/scourer, a small bar of soap and an information sheet with useful advice for a happy and trouble free stay as well as directions on how the Safe Hands staff can be contacted. The cost of the Service Materials Pack is 1.83€ per full clean
Maintenance
Our maintenance staff can deal with any minor problems immediately. The usual complaints of dripping taps, malfunctioning toilets, faulty lighting etc. will be dealt with speedily to keep your property running smoothly and your guests happy. In the event of a more serious problem arising we would notify you as soon as possible and can organise any work that needs to be carried out. Decorating can be arranged through us and we can advise on who the reliable builders or local contractors are for any larger projects.
Insurance
Hopefully you have insurance for both your property and it’s contents. Processing a claim can be awkward and protracted if the policy is held with a company outside the Los Gigantes area. We can advise you on the local agents and arrange the best policy for you. Many properties have building insurance through their community but this policy does not cover the contents of your property and in many cases is exempt from water damage either to or caused by your property.
Hire Service
Our clients can hire cots, high chairs or extra beds through us. The following prices are per night and for a minimum of 7 nights. Large travel cot 3.10€. High Chair 2.75€. Cot & High Chair together 4.30€. Fold-up-Bed 3.10€. If any of these items are required for longer than 14 nights then a 50% discount is applied for the extra nights
Tax Returns
As a non resident property owner you must file an annual Spanish tax return and pay a nominal amount of tax against the registered value of the property. We can collate the necessary information for you, complete the papers , arrange for an official accountant to be your fiscal representative in Tenerife and they then submit the forms on your behalf. Please ask for details.
Inspection Visits
Following insurance company guidelines we visit vacant properties to inspect them every fourth consecutive, unoccupied week. This service is carried out automatically for your complete peace of mind, so that you know your property is not being slowly flooded, overrun by insects, broken into and abused or suffering any other mishap. The price of a property inspection visit is 9.99€.
Anti Cockroach Treatment
We recommend that your property is treated against cockroaches. You cannot stop these insects entering so it is important that they are prevented from laying eggs inside your property. When the incubation period starts it is quite short and within days eggs can hatch simultaneously and cockroaches come swarming out in their hundreds. It is an unbearable experience for any people in the property at the time. The treatment consists of painting or spraying a poisonous (only to insects) compound around the skirting of each room and terrace, in sliding door tracks, across vents, under kitchen units etc. - in fact anywhere the cockroach is certain to go. The treatment is active for a year and when picked up by the insect’s feet secures it’s death within a couple of hours so preventing the laying of eggs. The service, which must be carried out by a registered fumigation company, comes with a one year warranty and their personnel are always accompanied by a member of our staff. The treatment is usually carried out in May, June or July before the very hot summer weather so that the properties are protected before these insects are at their most active. Please ask us nearer that time to confirm the price of this service.
Laundry Service
The laundry service is monitored and controlled by us. The dirty linen and towels are taken away, washed, dried and ironed as a separate load then returned to your property.

The price for processing the laundry (checked, taken away, processed and returned clean & ironed to your property) is 3.45€ per kilo (minimum 5 kilos). If items other than bed linen or towels, such as mattress protectors, bedspreads or furniture covers, need laundering then they are dealt with separately and are billed according to size, weight and process requirements.

Washing, dry or steam cleaning of soft furnishings such as chair covers, curtains, rugs etc can be arranged through us.
Welcome Packs
When people arrive at your property after a long and tiring journey the last thing they want to do is go shopping, even for the essentials to make a cup of tea or coffee. For a very good price we can make sure that there is a starter pack of food and beverages in the fridge when guests arrive. People always express relief and joy on finding our ‘welcome pack’ waiting for them; it contains - milk, water, bread, butter, jam, eggs, fruit juice, tea, coffee, sugar and a good quality bottle of wine (the wine is optional). Our prices for ‘welcome packs’ are competitive at 17.70€ with wine or 14.70€ without wine. You can either leave standing instructions with us to supply a ‘welcome pack’ every time someone comes to your property or you can order one when you advise us of a booking.
24 Hour Emergency Line
Our emergency number will get hold of one of OUR staff day or night, so you can rest assured that you and your guests have access to US when it really matters. This has already proved to be an invaluable necessity and a comfort when incidents happen such as flood, fire, break in, theft, sudden illness, accident or people simply lock themselves out.
Signing up & Invoices
If you would like us to service your property then, together, we fill out a ‘Service Agreement Form’ which tells us how you want us to operate and which of our services you wish us to perform.

To begin we require a returnable security deposit which is held by us until such time that we part company. You can terminate the agreement at any time.

We have staff available on hand to help and advise anyone staying in your property whatever problem or query they may have. During our office hours the owner or their guests can seek help or advice on any matter and we offer the facility of a 24hr ’in house’ emergency contact line to cover 'out of hours' emergencies. We do not include the cost of these in our cleaning, laundry or other services as each of our clients use vastly differing levels; as such every 3 months (January, April, July & October) we charge a nominal admin fee.

Every month we will send you an invoice in English, clearly indicating the date, details and price of any services carried out as well as any moneys received from you in payment. Payments can be made to us by bank transfer, credit or debit card, in cash or by Spanish cheque. All our prices are subject to I.G.I.C. (government tax currently 7%).
